Baby Bump- 8 1/2 Months

 4 + or - Weeks To Go!!! 

At 36 weeks- with just 4 weeks left- the baby bump is HUGE and still growing! 

This past month has been full of preparation. We've finished our birthing classes and have spent lots of time learning about giving birth! We are ready as we'll ever be... We have also been working hard on finishing projects around the house and making room for you! 

The highlight of the month was our most amazing baby shower... 

Grandma Allen, Aunt Amy, Aunt Dee and Aunt Louise threw us the best baby shower ever! 

Every detail was perfect... 

 Aunt Dee made these centerpieces by hand with diapers, socks and towels! 

She is so creative, you'll see!

 Aunt Louise made all of the favors - homemade chocolates and cookies! Yum!

She must love you! 

Everyone brought you presents, so many presents! 

 

Grandma was so happy to throw you a party! Doesn't she look pretty?

Grandma, Aunt Amy, Me (Mommy), Aunt Louise and Aunt Dee all together!

Our friend Michelle came, she is having a baby boy in February who she says will 

someday be your boyfriend! I'm sure he'll be cute, don't worry!

Your cousin Bella was a huge help and took her job handing me the presents

very seriously... she kept me moving along quickly!

Soon I had lots of helpers- Aunt Amy took great notes so that I could make sure 

we thanked all of our wonderful friends for their generous gifts! 

Daddy came at the end and we asked him to help! We were getting very 

tired opening so many presents.

Nana Kolesar sent us some super cute outfits and a very special book from 

Nevada. She was sad she couldn't be at the shower, but she is very excited that

she is going to meet you at Christmas time!

Daddy and I were so thankful for our family and friends, we just can't believe how many 

people already love you! We know we sure do! 

The countdown begins... we can't wait to meet you, we even decided on what we will name you- but that will be a surprise!

Baby Bump - 7 Months

Welcome 3rd Trimester:

At 7 1/2 months (30 weeks) Baby Huck is growing quickly!

All and all we are feeling great other than the little nuances that come with the added weight of carrying a baby in your belly! Ed joked that it looks like 7 month mamma ate the 2 month mamma!

Baby Girl is still moving around like crazy- mostly in the evening when we sit down to relax. 

Her daddy loves to feel her move and kick;  it still seems surreal that in about two months we'll be holding our baby girl in our arms.

The nursery is almost done...and we are thrilled with it!  We just have an empty space on the wall above the crib where her name will go- we just have to decide what it will be.

Every Thursday we attend our Birth Classes and practice breathing just like you see on TV, then Ed takes me to get ice cream!  The more we learn the more we realize what a miracle delivering a child is.  We just thank God every day for this experience and the many more amazing experiences we have yet to come!

Baby Bump: 6 Months

 

We are at 26 weeks, just over 6 months pregnant! We can't believe how quickly 6 months has past. It really hits home that in 3 months we'll have a new baby girl as part of our family! We've been preparing in every way: decorating the baby's room, organizing around the house, planning the baby shower, registering for all of the "stuff" we "need", and thinking about names.... we even signed up for our birthing classes. It's been really neat to feel baby girl move all day long and to experience Ed feeling her move. It's incredible, and quite distracting at work!

My size is doubling by the second, or at least that's how I feel! Here I am at just over 6 months: 26 weeks...

Baby Bump: 5 Months

Its been 20 weeks aka 5 months! The Baby Bump is growing quickly- I've had to resort to wearing maternity clothing - rigging the pants no longer works... thankfully I've had some great friends lend me some new threads and we're making it work! 

As you may have seen in my earlier post, we found out two weeks ago that we are having a baby GIRL! We are so excited and have already started brainstorming names, picking out new paint colors and bedding and dreaming about what our baby girl will look like, will she look like me, or Ed??!! I just pray she gets his long legs!

 

I am actually starting to feel little baby move.  Typically around dinner time, I guess she get's hungry just like her mom!

15 Week Appointment - All is Well!

This morning Ed visited our midwife for our 15 week appointment.  We heard Baby's heartbeat again, and all is well! We are so thankful that things are progressing as they should- even my weight gain was given the ok! (surprising to both of us considering the tremendous increase in Ice Cream and Chicken Fingers!) We pray every day that God would continue to bless our child, and keep us safe and healthy throughout the next 6 months.

Our First Ultrasound at 8 Weeks

Our first visit to our Midwife on May 10th, 2011-about 8 weeks into the pregnancy.

We were so excited to get our first glimpse of Baby Huck and hear a strong and healthy heart beat! What an amazing blessing- we are so excited!

We're Having a Baby!

Ed and I decided back in December 2010 that it was time to start trying to have a baby, business is good, our insurance was in place, why not!?

On April 12th, I left work early an emotional basket case and not feeling too hot. Just for the heck of it I took a pregnancy test and saw two lines. After cross checking the directions 3 or 4 times, I came to the conclusion- It was actually POSITIVE!  Both Ed and I were so happy and somewhat in shock - we really didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

Now we are 13 weeks along, just emerging from our first trimester. Though sometimes it seems surreal, we are both very excited about "growing our team" and all of the blessings we have to look forward to, (Not including immense weight gain and unpredictable mood swings.) 

Soon I might actually look pregnant... Stay tuned, photos to come!
